UCF went from 0-11 to 8-5 a year ago, one of the best turnarounds in college football history. The Knights were never forecast to be a bowl team in 2005. Now they want more -- respectability from the big boys.

"(Knights players) better be eager. . . . You only get so many opportunities to play ranked teams," UCF coach George O'Leary said. "We may not play another ranked team this year. I know that they are ranked (No. 7 in both major polls) and they should be. They are a very solid football team. They play smart, they get the ball in the hands of guys who can make plays."
