GAINESVILLE -- In the week leading up to UCF's visit to No. 7 Florida, Golden Knights Coach George O'Leary said his players would leave Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday at the very least knowing where they stood as a football team.
While he didn't expect to find the answer in the form of a 42-0 beating from the host Gators, he said afterward that there are at least no unknowns about where his team goes from here.
"I think Florida basically pounded us pretty good," O'Leary said. "We missed way too many plays on defense and six three-and-outs in the first half offensively. We can't do that against a team like Florida. They just put our defense in a very bad situation."
