Win vs. UAB shows Rice to be challenge

With each UCF game, the mantra has grown louder: This is an important week for the Golden Knights. It is endorsed by facts. At 2-4 and 1-1 in Conference USA, the Knights have just one victory this season over a Division I-A opponent and haven't won back-to-back games since beating UAB and Rice on consecutive weeks in 2005.

After a humiliating nonconference loss to Pittsburgh, Rice is up Saturday for UCF. The Knights have five days to try to plug the leak that they haven't been able to plug completely yet this season.
