Burnett 'doubtful' for East Carolina

UCF Coach George O'Leary said sophomore CB Joe Burnett is "doubtful" to play Saturday at home against East Carolina.

Burnett sustained a high-ankle sprain while attempting to make a tackle during the Golden Knights' first defensive series in Saturday's 51-31 loss to Houston. He wore a boot in practice on Monday and ran sparingly during Tuesday's session, O'Leary said.

"There's probably a 75 percent chance he [won't] play," O'Leary said. "A high-ankle sprain, I'd say he'd be there in emergencies. If you don't play on Tuesday and Wednesday for me, I don't like playing you on Saturday."
