UCF wins its 5th straight and moves to 5-0 for the first time since 1993-94.
Many times during UCF's up-and-down run last season, the Golden Knights were guilty of letting teams back into ball games with lackluster efforts in the second half.
Through its first four games the Knights had avoided such pitfalls, and Monday night the trend continued as they skated to a 99-62 victory against Jacksonville.
The win was UCF's fifth straight and the first time it's opened a season 5-0 since the 1993-94 campaign. The Knights led by 14 at halftime and hit their first six shots out of the break to open up as much as a 43-point advantage in the second half.
Senior Josh Peppers, who had a previous season high of 12 points, erupted for a game-high 24. Freshman Tony Davis added 14 points, with sophomore Jermaine Taylor and junior Stanley Billings chipping in 12 and 10, respectively.
