USF still prefers to end UCF rivalry

TAMPA -- Nearly every year Jim Leavitt has spoken at the Florida Sports Writers Association's annual college football media day, he has been bombarded with questions about the University of Central Florida.

Leavitt has steadfastly maintained he has no interest in continuing the series with UCF after the 2008 season. The difference this year is that the University of South Florida head coach came Sunday ready to defend his case.
