TAMPA -- Not even the location could diminish George O'Leary's enthusiasm Saturday morning as he spoke about the upcoming season and a new era of football at the University of Central Florida.
"Thank you for having me here this morning when I could be on the golf course," O'Leary said from the podium inside the Royal Palm Ballroom at the Quorum Hotel during the first day of the Florida Sports Writers Association's College Media Days. "I could be enjoying myself, but I'm very excited about what's coming up."
New helmets, a new nickname and most important, a new on-campus stadium, are the final steps of a revitalization project O'Leary took on when he became the program's head coach in December 2003
