Greco's play has Knights fired up

ORLANDO - Michael Greco is such a freakish athlete that upon arriving at North Carolina State back in 2005, the coaches there wanted to convert him from quarterback to receiver.

He's such a skilled runner that his first major injury -- a broken collarbone -- came on a daring scramble in which he vaulted his body high into the air and landed on his shoulder.

His promising future as a multi-threat star at the University of Central Florida also was briefly put in jeopardy last month when he was displaying some very un-quarterback-like strength during bench-press testing. Following his fifth repetition of 320 pounds, Greco felt an intense burning sensation in his left
pectoral muscle.
