You can't blame Kirk Speraw for wishing.
He's seen what a new stadium has done for the football program at UCF.
He's seen how it has made alumni want to come back to campus and students want to stay there.

He's seen how it has made alumni want to come back to campus and students want to stay there.
He's seen the buzz it has caused and the crowds it's created.
And so naturally he hopes the new arena will have a similar impact when his basketball Knights open their season Sunday against a highly regarded Nevada team that has been to the NCAA Tournament in each of the past four seasons.
"I don't know if we'll get one, but I'd like to see a sellout," Speraw says. "This is the first game in the new arena, and we've got a team coming in that has been in the Top 25 for the last four years and has a first-round NBA draft possibility. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a sellout."
