(Sept. 11,2006) UCF got its chance to hang with the big boys on Saturday and fell flat on its face. This came as no surprise to me, I sort of chuckled when I heard many in Central Florida saying this Golden Knight team could give the Gators a game in the Swamp. If you are a UCF fan, alumni, or booster ask yourself this: What kind of program do you want? Do you want a program that will consistently compete for the Conference USA crown, go to lower tier bowls, and not get in a lot of trouble, but get pounded when they take the big stage? If that is acceptable to you, then George O'Leary is your guy. If you want a team that can go into Alabama and win, or go into Georgia and be one bogus pass interference call away from a win then former coach Mike Kruzek is your guy. There is a huge difference between the two, so let me try and explain it.
