When UCF Coach George O'Leary dissected his team's nonconference schedule a few months ago, he talked about how back-to-back intrastate matchups with Florida and USF were, more than anything, "opportunities."

Though neither would have an overwhelming effect on the ability to get to a bowl, the benefits UCF would glean from beating either in-state foe was clear.
