Panthers jump on the Golden Knights early, race to a 38-point halftime advantage to raise their record to 6-1; best start since '82.
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida's mascot looks a lot like C-3PO from those Star Wars films, only he wears a cape and rides a horse.
But, unfortunately for the Golden Knights, the force was with the Pitt Panthers last night.
Pitt scored on its first six possessions -- and would have made it seven for seven had Conor Lee not missed a 27-yard field-goal attempt as time expired before the half -- and rolled to a 52-7 victory against the Golden Knights before 35,858 at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
