At 2-4, the Golden Knights can either pull off something similar to what they did in 2005 -- when they won eight of their last nine -- or they can wallow in the mediocrity and disappointment that has characterized their 2006 campaign.
The players are obviously choosing the former, beginning with today's Conference USA game against Rice (2-5, 1-2) at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
"Coach (George) O'Leary always talks about taking one game at a time, but we've talked about the season itself and what can happen from here on out," UCF junior linebacker Randy Dozier said. "This game (last week's 52-7 loss to Pittsburgh) has got to be a turning point for us in that we have to leave the first part of this season behind us.
