After watching UCF's final four plays against Southern Miss on Tuesday, Coach George O'Leary's first thought probably was that the bad ending was the quarterback's fault.
But instead of rushing to judgment when asked in his postgame news conference, O'Leary opted to take a second look. What O'Leary found, he said, is that Moffett could make better decisions in the pocket but that many of UCF's offensive woes -- including sacks on three of the final four plays against Southern Miss -- aren't his fault.
Despite some calls for a quarterback change, O'Leary is showing a confidence in Moffett that wasn't always there.
