O'Leary bemoans defensive struggles
Even before UCF starting CB Joe Burnett and LB Jordan Richards went down with injuries against Houston last weekend, Coach George O'Leary said the defense was going to endure some lineup shuffling this week.
After surrendering over 40 points to its third consecutive opponent, O'Leary said he wants to do something to get more inspired play from the defensive front seven.
None of the Golden Knights' top six tacklers are from the defensive line. "There's a lot of guys that have opinions of what to do, but the problem is, can your personnel do it?" O'Leary said. "I don't see them out of position as much. I see them not having the ability when they have to make a play to make it. It goes down to the front seven; that's where the problem has been."
