The senior throws for 319 yards in his return to the starting quarterback role.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- UCF Coach George O'Leary inserted a lot of youth into the lineup Saturday against Memphis, but UCF senior quarterback Steven Moffett was also back in the mix after sitting out the past three games in favor of junior backup Kyle Israel.

Israel had been effective in starts against Rice and Houston, but the junior stalled in the Knights' 23-10 loss last week to East Carolina -- the Knights' fourth in a row -- prompting O'Leary to go back to his senior.

Moffett made the best of the opportunity against the Tigers, completing his first nine passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Moffett was equally effective in the final 30 minutes, finishing 19-of-28 for 319 yards, going over 300 yards for the first time since throwing for 301 yards against Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl last season.
