The University of Florida will have a different opponent than the one originally scheduled to open the 2007 football season.

UCF, Florida's scheduled opponent, contacted Florida about opting out of its date next year and Florida agreed, because another opponent was found quickly and because UCF agreed to play Florida at a later date.
