UCF perfect when it enters opposition's 20-yard line

ORLANDO - University of Central Florida football coach George O'Leary made execution in the red zone a point of emphasis prior to the season, spending large chunks of spring practice and training camp on scoring touchdowns when close to the goal line.

The extra work has paid huge dividends so far for the Knights, who are a perfect 14 of 14 this season getting points when driving the ball inside the 20-yard line. More important, 12 of the 14 trips have resulted in touchdowns.

UCF set the stage for Saturday's 56-20 rout of the University of Memphis by scoring touchdowns early each time it drove inside the 20-yard line. On the day, UCF scored touchdowns on all seven trips in the red zone.
