UCF secures berth in C-USA title game against Tulsa
UCF senior quarterback Kyle Israel was looking for somebody to hug.
Coming up empty, he trotted toward the middle of the field, a 36-20 scoreboard and Conference USA East Division title at his back. About halfway there, he started to bounce up and down, like a wind-up toy with a fresh battery, pushing his helmet in the direction of the sky.
Five weeks ago, nothing about that moment seemed possible for Israel or his Knights' teammates coming off the worst loss in their Division I-A history to USF.

But six consecutive victories later, the Knights' victory against UTEP on Saturday has given them a shot to do what no UCF team has: win a conference championship on its home field.
