ORLANDO - As many of the University of Central Florida's players trudged off the field Saturday with slumped shoulders and sour stares, a wave of emotions rained down from the sellout crowd at Bright House Networks Stadium.

The final score read Texas 35, UCF 32, a frustrating fact for a Knights team that felt like it let a potential landmark victory slip away under an avalanche of self-inflicted errors.

But the crowd of 45,622 didn't seem to mind after the outcome was decided, giving UCF the kind of ovation that's usually reserved only for big victories.
