UCF's poor season has pushed George O'Leary to develop younger talent.

At least 16 players in UCF's starting lineup in Saturday's season finale against Alabama-Birmingham are scheduled to return next season, nine on defense and seven on offense.

The good news: That's a lot of experienced players, and experience usually leads to good on-field results.

The bad news: It almost mirrors the number of starters the Knights returned this season.

The results this fall haven't been good. The Knights are 3-8, and their rankings in several key offensive and defensive categories have fallen from last season.
