ORLANDO, Fla. — As the Pirates left the field after a 23-10 win over the UCF Golden Knights, it was the first time ECU players had experienced three wins in a row since 2001.

ECU (5-4, 4-2) did it again on defense.

The Pirates forced two critical fourth-quarter turnovers. One Kasey Ross returned 51 yards for a touchdown, and the other Markeith McQueen picked off in the end zone to clinch the victory.
