TAMPA - Central Florida coach George O'Leary is hearing the same thing from recruits these days.
"Whoa!"
That's their reaction when they see what the school has done with its football facilities since O'Leary's first season in 2004. An indoor practice facility was completed in 2005, a student-athlete housing complex was finished after that, and a long-awaited on-campus stadium is scheduled to open in September.
Those three things - along with the 44,000-square foot complex with meeting rooms, coaches offices, locker rooms, weight room and sports medicine facilities - finally give UCF's football program the pop it has lacked.
