Ground game a concern for UCF

While UCF Coach George O'Leary is certainly excited to see junior RB Kevin Smith and the Knights running game back on track after a paltry outing against South Florida two weeks ago, he is equally concerned with stopping Southern Miss run game this week.



A first-team All-Conference USA selection as a freshman, Golden Eagles TB Damion Fletcher set Southern Miss and Conference USA freshman rushing records with 1,388 yards.


After a slow start in 2007, he has picked up his efforts in recent weeks and is averaging 106.17 yards per game.
