Israel in charge of UCF offense

University High graduate Kyle Israel is finally the starting quarterback as a UCF senior.
For most of his time in football pads, Kyle Israel has grown accustomed to playing the role of the unusual suspect. So you'll have to forgive the UCF senior quarterback if seeing his name at the top of the Knights' depth chart this fall seemed a tad strange at first.
One of four quarterbacks in the program, Israel originally beat out Steven Moffett midway through last season and has held the top spot despite some competition this year from freshman Joe Weatherford and junior-college transfer Michael Greco.
Though Israel played his high-school ball roughly 2 miles from UCF's campus at University High, the route he took to get to this moment in his career extends far beyond Orlando.
