Practice was over, but the old man was still in the mood to do some coaching.

As his players slogged toward the exit gate, UCF Coach George O'Leary called out in the direction of freshman offensive lineman Mike Buxton, who had shown more flaws than flair while blocking during a drill only a few minutes earlier.

"Son, you can't leave the quarterback's back side open like that," O'Leary said as walked over and put his hand on the shoulder of the burly lineman. "That's his back side. You get a guy killed like that."
