Opening game will dictate adjustments

It's not that he won't have a very specific game plan when they open Saturday at N.C. State.

But Coach George O'Leary isn't naive to the fact that this weekend's opener will also feature a lot of tweaking in all three phases.

"I think the first game is a game of adjustments," O'Leary said, "whether it's something you didn't see or something you didn't work against. And hopefully experience takes over then. And that's one thing when you have a bunch of kids back is that they've seen most everything before and the adjustments made can be quick and be the right adjustments."
