UCF kicker Torres says competition is good

There's no question that the biggest thing senior K Michael Torres had to adapt to last spring when he arrived at UCF was the watchful eye of Coach George O'Leary.
Not only was it a first for the UMass transfer to be supervised by the head coach, but O'Leary's often hard critiques and hawking presence at practice took some adjustment time.
Add to that Torres' slow start in 2006 (making only one of his first four attempts) and constant chiding about his stocky, wrestler-like frame and it seemed like a marriage headed more for annulment than paradise.
