ORLANDO -- An old saying has it that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Watching Kyle Israel's progress the past four years has been very flattering for UCF quarterbacks coach George Godsey.

Godsey, who played under UCF coach George O'Leary at Georgia Tech from 1998 to 2001, said Israel reminds him a lot of himself as a player.

"He's got a lot of the same mannerisms, for sure," Godsey said of his senior signal-caller. "He's patient and he knows what his athletic abilities and his limitations are. He sees the field very well and I think he's reading defenses a lot better now.
