The play was just for bragging rights more than anything else, but Javid James' diving touchdown catch from backup quarterback Joe Weatherford on Saturday night not only won the day for the offense, but officially marked the end of UCF's preseason fall camp.
But with just two weeks to go before the Knights' opener at North Carolina State, Coach George O'Leary said he is pleased with how this segment of the preseason ended.
"Both sides made some plays, and I'm glad to see some of the freshmen make some big plays," O'Leary said. "That's what we're counting on with those kids."
