Joe Burnett and his teammates are ready to prove their worth after some struggles.

He squatted about 30 yards behind them, but UCF secondary coach Earnest Collins knew exactly what he was looking for out of his guys.

As the offense lined up and freshman quarterback Joe Weatherford went through his cadence, Collins shouted his own version.


"Let's go, Joe-Joe," he barked in the direction of junior cornerback Joe Burnett during a recent practice. "Get in there, Venson. Where you at, Sha'reff? Make a play, Johnell."
