ORLANDO -- After such an emotional loss last Saturday to sixth-ranked Texas -- one of the most storied football programs in the country -- Central Florida is now faced with the task of getting psyched up to play Conference USA rival Memphis.
Knights quarterback Kyle Israel said if he has to do it himself, he will make sure that isn't a problem with his teammates.
"With the effort we put out there against Texas and the way we finished the game, there can't be a letdown this week," Israel said of UCF's 35-32 defeat by the Longhorns in the inaugural game at Bright House Networks Stadium. "There's no question that we could have won the game, and I think that just gives us more motivation to come out and prove that we're going to play like that the rest of the year.
