The coaches match up for the first time in a decade at the debut of Bright House Networks Stadium.

Their names are the biggest reason that Saturday's matchup between UCF and Texas to open Bright House Networks Stadium was even brokered by ESPN two years ago.

But before George O'Leary was being hailed as a savior at UCF and Mack Brown was winning a national title at Texas, the pair was a long way from the national spotlight as two up-and-coming 40-something coaches in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
