Texas holds off Central Florida 35-32

As UCF Coach George O'Leary stood in front of his team in the minutes before Saturday's home opener against No. 6 Texas, his message was as transparent as it was simple:

"Play hard. Play with great enthusiasm and play to win," he told them.

Nearly four hours later as those same Knights trudged toward the locker room beneath the throb of a 35-32 loss, they did it with the applause of 45,622 people who never heard the speech, but obviously respected the effort.
