Longhorns plus stadium opener thrill for Knights
ORLANDO - The churning momentum for the University of Central Florida's football team is undeniable what with its first-week upset of North Carolina State and the imminent opening of the program's $60 million,on-campus stadium.
And if the Knights are going to compete with national powerhouse Texas, the nation's sixth-ranked team, they will most likely need all the positive vibes available when Saturday afternoon rolls around.
"I think, eventually, the players and the talent out there on the field are what wins out," UCF coach George O'Leary said. "We'll be at home in the stadium for the first time and it will be loud, and hopefully that will help us.
