UCF focuses for C-USA opener

The stadium debut is now ancient history with the Memphis Tigers on the agenda.

It's only three weeks into the season, but there was a different vibe around UCF football this week as the Knights (1-1) prepared to open their Conference USA schedule against Memphis today at Bright House Networks Stadium.

Yes, the Knights have exactly the same record they did last season after two games. But unlike last season when UCF sauntered through week after week with no clear team focus, the players and coaches say the mood this time around is in some ways unrecognizable -- even this early.
