In-state game gives players incentive

UCF Coach George O'Leary said Monday he didn't anticipate having to refocus his team much this week as it prepares for USF just a few days after the Knights' 52-38 setback at East Carolina.

The implications for the third meeting between the schools are as high as they've ever been with the Bulls moving into the Top 5 in this week's polls.

"I think any time you play an instate game there is a great motivation," O'Leary said. "You have kids from the same high schools and . . . there's not a lot of talking that has to get done by the coaches. I think the players understand the importance."
