What happened to the first five games being the toughest on the schedule?

After enduring arguably the toughest opening month that any ECU team has ever faced the Pirates [2-3,1-1] return home this Saturday to face perhaps the most well rounded opponent so far in Central Florida [3-1,1-0].

"This week it doesn't get any easier," ECU coach Skip Holtz said. "We are playing a very good UCF team and I've always said that they were one of the most athletic teams in our league."

"They have played a lot of quality opponents but they still rank near the top in all the statistical categories, both on offense and defense."
