UCF faces No. 5 team in nation with USF

Florida is out of The Associated Press Top 10 and former Gators coach Steve Spurrier is back in it. Florida State also returns to the Top 25.
And UCF this week will face the second-highest ranked team it has ever faced since moving to Division I-A in 1996.
South Florida (5-0) climbed to No. 5 in The Associated Press Top 25 released Sunday, using a 35-23 win over Florida Atlantic and losses by USC and Wisconsin to climb one spot.

USF, which bought its first football a year after UCF moved to college football's highest division, will be the highest-ranked team UCF has played since facing No. 4 Florida in 1999. UCF did play a Florida State team ranked No. 1 in 1995, the Knights' last year in Division I-AA. The Knights have never beaten any team ranked in the AP Top 25.
