With USF looming, the Knights have to forget their East Carolina debacle.

UCF junior tailback Kevin Smith looked like a young child who'd just found out his bike was stolen.

That was the kind of disappointment UCF players were dealing with Saturday in the aftermath of a humbling 52-38 loss at East Carolina.

Smith's speech was slow and his movements slower as he tried to find some perspective in the Knights' first Conference USA loss of the season.
