UCF goes to school in win

ORLANDO -- Think of a college football season as one ongoing lesson: Lessons on what to do. Lessons on what not to do. Lessons on what adjustments to make, and lessons on what absolutely won't work in the next game.

The teams that are successful are the teams that learn the best on the fly. The teams that are doomed are the teams that make the same mistakes over and over.

In this sense, UCF learned a valuable piece of information on Saturday night, and that's the lesson on how to finish football games. Sure, the Knights 37-19 win over Lousiana-Lafayette looks pleasing to the eye and makes for great pro-UCF message board fodder.
