Last season UCF Coach George O'Leary played a high number of true freshmen out of necessity. This season he will play them by choice. The new two-deep depth chart released Tuesday features 13 freshmen. The biggest surprises on the depth chart for Saturday's game against N.C. State include redshirt freshman DL Bruce Miller, now ahead of junior Antonio Wallace at right end, and true freshman Lawrence Young, now listed behind junior Cory Hogue at linebacker. Freshman Alphonso Bryant has passed junior Breon Rogers as Jason Venson's backup at free safety. On special teams, freshman Blake Clingan has claimed the top spot at punter. The receiving corps will feature the highest number of freshmen. Coach George O'Leary confirmed that they would travel with eight receivers, the lone senior being senior Javid James.
