Smith poised for banner year

ORLANDO -- - University of Central Florida coach George O'Leary was tucked away in the film room well past 9 p.m. Monday when he was briefly startled by seeing a person at the door.

That O'Leary would see tailback Kevin Smith at that time of night was somewhat surprising. But what didn't surprise O'Leary was that Smith was there to put in some more work, specifically more film work.

"I asked him, 'What are you doing here?' " O'Leary recalled. "He told me, 'Coach I just want to watch today's practice again.'
