UCF gears for any surprises
At a glance, this Saturday's matchup with 1-7 Marshall should be an easy win for UCF as it starts its November Conference USA title chase.
It's Homecoming. The Knights have won three in a row at home and welcome a Thundering Herd team that has more holes in its roster than a pincushion.
But after two lackluster days of practice to open the week, including their fourth consecutive inside, senior QB Kyle Israel said keeping their intensity will be a big focus the remainder of the week.

"We haven't done a good job of that, to be honest, the first two days of practice," Israel said. "Some of the veterans on this team know that a game like this can kind of trap you. . . . And it can make you get a skewed vision of how a team really is. I think [Marshall is] a lot better than their record shows."
